Wizard Financial Services (Fourways) was initially launched on 1 September 2003. The franchise initiator, Tertius van Zyl decided to target this suburban location, as it is one of South Africa’s fastest developing areas. As keen and pro-active entrepreneurs, Wizard Fourways recently relocated offices to the rapidly expanding Eastern Pretoria region to extend our commitment of client satisfaction and excellence to an assortment of Estate Agents, Developers, Attorneys and public clientele. Due to strategic reasons our Company’s name has been changed to Wizard Financial Services Menlyn.We are still 100% operational in the Northern Johannesburg area, with three consultants assiting clients in and around that area daily.

What is Mortgage Origination?
Mortgage origination is a service-orientated industry where the origination company, such as Wizard, provides an outsourced administration service to the major home loan lenders in South Africa, whilst sourcing the best home loan for the consumer.
The Wizard consultant acts as an agent for the consumer, supplying information on available home loan products in the market and assisting the client to choose the most suitable product. The consultant then assists the client to collect and collate the information needed by the lender, submits the home loan application and follows up the process from submission to final registration, keeping the client informed throughout and assisting where possible, to make the process as seamless as possible.

What does this service cost?
Wizard is paid a percentage of the bond amount in commission by the lenders we perform the outsourced serviced to. Our impeccable service and expertise is offered as a free service to all our clients. It is important to take note of the fact that Wizard’s income is a deferred cost of acquisition for the banks we have agreements with. This cost is not added to the client’s bond account in any way.

Founding member of the self-regulatory body
NAMO, the National Association of Mortgage Originators, was initiated the four leaders in the mortgage origination industry during 2001. Recognising the need for self-regulation within this fast growing industry sector, the main objective of NAMO is to create a platform for consumer protection. Through the establishment of a code of conduct and a constitution to which all members are obliged to conform, it is anticipated that the currently fragmented market will soon be consolidated into a unified point of contact for clients and financial institutions.
Another major function of NAMO is to promote and regulate mortgage originators in order to enhance professionalism and service excellence and eliminate improper, unlawful and/or unethical practices that may harm the industry as a whole.
The appointment of an Ombudsman for Mortgage Originators, under the auspices of the National Executive Committee of NAMO, will further protect the interests of both consumers and lending institutions. Wizard is proud to have played a pioneering role in the founding of NAMO. Our close association with NAMO and enthusiastic support for all that it stands for, is highlighted by the fact that the MD of Wizard serving on the National Executive Committee of NAMO.
